What is Un-Refined Cane Juice Powder?
How is it different from 'Evaporated Cane Juice'?
Evaporated cane juice is just another expression for refined sugar. Unless your label clearly states: Unrefined sugar or Unrefined evaporated cane juice, it is the same as refined sugar. Back 2 Organic is a 100% raw, un-refined, minimally processed, pure evaporated sugarcane juice.
When natural sugar is refined and concentrated , the life force is dispersed and the natural balance upset. The multiple filterings and boiling extractions, not only removes the color and molasses, but also removes nearly all valuable nutrients. What's left are two primary components of the original natural sugar cane; the crystalline sucrose and glucose, with only trace amounts of other nutrients.
Refined sugar passes quickly into the bloodstream in large amounts, giving the stomach and pancreas a shock. An acid condition forms which consumes the body's minerals quickly.
Calcium is lost from the system, causing bone problems. The digestive system is weakened and food cannot be digested or assimilated properly. This leads to blood sugar imbalance and to further craving for sugar.
Refined sugar delivers high energy and enables one to keep working, but unfortunately, it is addicting and contributes greatly to disease and unhappiness. Too much refined sugar can lead to diabetes, which will lead to heart disease, renal disease, peripheral vascular disease, diabetic retinitis (blindness), diabetic peripheral neuropathy and the list goes on and on.
Unrefined sugar or unrefined cane juice powder, like Back 2 Organic; this is a healthy alternative to refined sugar.
This type of sugar, although almost as sweet as it's cousin - refined sugar - the un-refined sugar has a full array of other subtle flavors, like any whole food. It is not to be confused with brown sugar or variour kinds of raw sugar; it has far more mineralization and other nutrients to help prevent tooth decay and the plethora of dieseases brought on by all refined sugar.
Unrefined sugar contains Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin B1, B2, B3, Calcium, Phosphorus and Chromium. None of theses nutrients occur in refined sugar. Unrefined sugar also offeres more than twenty times as much iron and zinc as white sugar.
Several food producers are acutely aware of the advertising advantage, to NOT list "sugar" as a label ingredient. Now, they still put in refined sugar, but list it as "dried cane juice", "evaporated cane juice" or "cane juice". However, when dried cane juice is highly refined, it is simply another name for refined white sugar. Some manufacturers simply add back some molasses for color and promote the product as a healthful product. Don't be fooled!
